Sometimes everybody on this planet procrastinates and we should not feel guilty about it, because it is natural.
What is procrastination?
Procrastination is the action of delaying or postponing something. „Never put off till tomorrow what you can do today!“ is easier said than done. Procrastination is a well-known phenomenon that often entails negative outcome with regard to performance and subjective well-being.
For example, if you are supposed to do some homework and you watch TV instead of it, you are procrastinating.
Sometimes, there is a lot of work to do and a lot of pressure on us, so it is normal when we are not into the work or we just want to relax, but even if it is normal, we should control it and try to reduce it these times.
How to avoid procrastination?
- Start your day with your hardest task.
- Give yourself a pep talk for motivation.
- Promise yourself you will get a reward when it is done.
